Starting with the plumbing, need to get two fuel lines run and a pipe for the rear brakes. I also need to work out where to put the fuel filter.
Finally got the rear calipers in, they were repainted but after an evening of fighting with new seals they look a little worse for wear, the test will be when I add fluid under pressure
Next the fuel tank. I believe the mk1 tank slots right in and can be bolted down, my mk2 needed some rubber bobbins to raise the tank or it sat on the subframe. Only the back needed lifting but I put in some smaller bobbins in the front to reduce the angle I was introducing to the tank.
The steering column has taken some time. Once fitted using the bracket supplied in the kit it was off to the right and far too low, I couldn't use the pedals as my legs were being pushed down by the wheel. Part of the issue is that the seat doesn't go back far enough which will be fixed after the IVA test when the MX5 seats are replaced be something thinner.
Eventually using washers to correct the angle and after a dodgy re-bending of the bracket I got something usable.

Finished the fuel line runs up to the engine bay and done the final fit on the tank, with earth strap
Cooling system now in, went for a new radiator as they are really cheap anyway. Clutch pipework almost in, I have used the original pipe but cut it short and connected a flexi-hose to run up to the master, just waiting on a male to male connector to complete the job. And the big one, I was worried about the amount of spline showing on one of the joints on the steering. To make the steering column shorter I have cut and welded the mounting that is fixed to the column, job done.
Still tinkering with the steering but think I finally have something I am happy with. I have managed to re-use the seal that came off the MX5 which looks neat and I have re-positioned the support bracket slightly. It is all tightened up now so I am going to leave it alone and try to fabricate some brackets for the front brake flexi-hose as the ones on the MX5 were fixed to the body and none are supplied on the Replicar framework.
